In this shrine to eclecticism, guests luxuriate in unusually large rooms with floor-to-ceiling warehouse-style windows. Lovingly designed and furnished by Kit Kemp, the 91 rooms boast exciting creative tension between their design components. Kemp's contemporary British style is firmly founded on top-notch furnishings and materials deployed in an artful combination and a plethora of styles, colors, and patterns. It's hard to miss the impressive 10-foot-tall Botero sculpture in the lobby, or the mural, which adorns the hotel's Refuel Bar & Restaurant. A feast for the eyes, indeed.

These apartments also have an optional private street entrance.

    From car park to comfort

The first deluxe hotel in the bustling borough of London’s Soho was created on the site of a former multi-storey car park. The Soho Hotel was built from scratch, yet still respects the original red brick structure.

    Hands-on experimentation

Designer Kit Kemp does not approach design with a fixed idea in her mind, but rather creates her look hands-on through mixing, matching and experimentation. Kemp's private art collection also enriches the personal flavor of the guestrooms and public spaces.

    Kit Kemp

Together with her partner Tim Kemp, award-winning designer Kit Kemp stands at the helm of nine hotels. This quirky design guru’s aesthetic reflects a fresh, modern take on English style. Mixing eras with state-of-the-art technology, the self-taught designer follows no rules but her own, creating a signature style that strikes the perfect balance between classicism and modernity. Kemp’s pioneering work earned her the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year in 2008, and her hotel group Firmdale Hotels received the Queens Award for Enterprise in 2000, 2006 and in 2009.
