A playful tablescape, sun-ripened tomatoes, lively conversation. This is the spirit of Casa Lawa, the beloved culinary residency in Sicily. What began as an encounter for our Further—Community Capital study, and blossomed through our mutual love of community, is now set to flourish into Casa Lawa’s joyful aperitivo taking over the lobby of The Moore.
The opening on May 15 from 5pm to 8pm is just one highlight of our lineup for NYCxDesign, inviting you to connect with our local community and dive into the citywide dialogue on culture, design thinking, and beyond. With a presence in New York’s design landscape since the 1980s, Vitra is set to enter a new chapter in the city—opening the doors to its permanent home in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Tucked into the third floor of 46 Bowery, the 6,266-square-foot space will house both Vitra and sister brand Artek, serving as a creative hub for design, dialogue, and collaboration.
