Eindhoven

The electronics giant Philips is responsible for growing the village of Eindhoven in the 20th century, but it is design—principally, the internationally renowned Dutch Design Week, held every October, that has put this city on the world map. Indeed, Eindhoven is the Netherlands’ fifth-largest city and now buzzes with cultural things to do. The Dutch Design Academy is a popular spot.
