A perfect symbiosis of modern and vintage, the hotel’s contemporary brick, steel, and glass façade presents an exciting contrast to the medieval half-timbered houses of historic town of Einbeck.

Newly built, the hotel’s hand-fired brick and gray plaster echo the strong sense of history and materials used by its legendary neighbor PS Speicher. FREIgeist Einbeck’s architecture was also inspired by the nearby Kornhaus building, which dates to 1898, creating a bridge between contemporary design and historical context.

Interior design Georg Rosentreter, Frank Kassner

To contrast industrial drama with old-world warmth, the forward-looking design scheme marries steel and exposed concrete with oak flooring, hand-fired natural bricks, and leather elements.

A natural-meets-industrial palette of textures and earth tones creates a warm, authentic, and timeless atmosphere. Beds made from old wooden transport crates, floor-to-ceiling windows, and oak are complemented by vintage objects, such as classic Vespas displayed on the walls and an iconic Isetta repurposed as a coffee-break car. A table crafted from an old aircraft engine adds another striking element, while lamps from motorcycles bathe spaces in warm light, underlining the spirit of mobility, engineering, and creative reuse that defines the interior concept.
