The scent of fresh baked goods lures those seeking Shoreditch’s legendary art and dining into the Boundary Hotel’s Albion bakery. Lovers of art, admirers of design: Boundary welcomes you. The boutique hotel in London is a celebration of fine art and fine taste for the sophisticated traveler. Its 12 elegant, contemporary guestrooms are each inspired by a legendary designer or design movement, from Young British to Bauhaus, Eileen Gray to Le Corbusier. Above, five suites, including four duplexes, range from Modern Dickensian to Modern Chinoiserie, featuring private outdoor balconies and impressive urban views. Tratra, the main restaurant and the latest addition to the hotel was opened by best-selling food writer and chef Stéphane Reynaud in May 2017. On the fourth floor is the Boundary Rooftop, a cocktail bar and 48-seat grill restaurant within a heated orangerie set in the midst of a stunning garden by Nicola Lesbirel with 360-degree views over the city. The hotel is also home to Albion, a ground-floor bakery, café, and specialty British food shop, with pavement seating directly on Boundary Street.

Rooms & Suites
Each of the Boundary’s 12 spacious guestrooms honors a designer or design movement. The British Room, for example, showcases traditional UK design with a modern twist, while the Shaker Room is governed by the simple utilitarian aesthetic. The suites meanwhile were each personally fashioned by a bold creative spirit: Modern Italian, by Priscilla Carluccio, features classic pieces from Paola Navone and Vico Magistretti. Vicki Conran’s Beach is governed by cool colors and a seaside aesthetic. Sir David Tang’s Modern Chinoiserie is modeled on his own home, and Conran by Sir Terence Conran showcases his own work and the work of those he admires, including his favorite Karuselli chair by Krjo Kukkapuro.
The patter of rain slows against the windowpane of the Albion as you snack on Welsh rarebit and sip from a steaming cup of milky black tea, flipping crisp, off-the-press pages of the Sunday Observer...
