KELLY WEARSTLER

Originally designed in 1948 by the legendary graphic designer Alvin Lustig, whose credits include the iconic Lustig Chair for Beverly Hills-based Paramount Furniture, Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills has seen a careful and uplifting makeover by Kelly Wearstler who has lovingly brought the building into the new millennium.

By researching the hotel’s original design and poring over vintage photos, Wearstler has merged her own dramatic style with the glamorous nostalgia of midcentury design.
