Known as the "Palacio de los Condes de Miravalle", the heritage building sits among colonial landmarks in a UNESCO site.

The historic center is the capital's cultural nucleus, packed with colonial artifacts, museums, and galleries.

With views across Mexico City’s historic center—from churches to the Torre Latinoamericana—the Downtown terrace is ideal for events or relaxed drinks.

Location
Revolving around the The El Zócalo Plaza (or the Plaza de la Constitución)—the largest plaza in Latin America, which is flanked by the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace—Centro Histórico plays host to a ream of artifacts from Mexico’s eventful past. And yet, components of the original building, such as the high-vaulted brick ceilings, add a sense of drama, and light wooden detailing and tiled floors keep the spaces feeling chic. From this sun-soaked hotel guests can relax in luxurious baths, take in views of historical buildings and the cobbled streets below, or simply relax at the pool while sipping a drink from the bar.

Downtown Timeless pleasures
From here, guests take in the building’s 17th-century colonial design details alongside contemporary artistic interventions, including Manuel Rodríguez Lozano’s fresco "The Holocaust". The space functions as both a circulation point and a place to pause, where mornings begin with breakfast overlooking a layered historical context. During the day and into the evening, the restaurant continues as Downtown’s dining space, serving lunch and dinner that extend the same dialogue between heritage architecture and contemporary Mexico City hospitality.
