Architecture A delicate balance

Chapter Chianti Architecture

Architecture A delicate balance

The goal was not to replicate what already exists across Tuscany, but to disrupt it—gently, respectfully, and with purpose.

Rather than mimic a landscape of centuries-old villas and rustic farmhouses, the designers embraced a philosophy of contrast—allowing the old and the new to coexist in dialogue. Historical textures were preserved and celebrated through the careful layering of modern materials like glass, steel, marble, and travertine. The spatial flow, the natural light, even the placement of the pool and terraces—all enhance the building’s original rhythm while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. The result is a space where the passage of time is visible, but not frozen.

Interior design Tristan du Plessis

Clean lines, custom lighting, polished concrete, and bold textures create a space that feels more like an urban art hotel than a countryside retreat.

Rather than leaning into the expected rustic style, Chapter Chianti introduces a sleek, design-forward vision—yet one with a deep respect for the original structure. The interiors are curated with modern Italian design pieces, unexpected art interventions—art is at the core of Chapter Chianti’s identity—and a minimalist approach that lets each material and form speak for itself. The color palette draws inspiration from the natural shades and existing stone structures of the surrounding countryside—warm neutrals, muted greens, and mineral shades—creating a seamless flow between old and new, indoor and outdoor.

Spa All’s is wellness

The spa at Chapter Chianti is designed not just for relaxation, but as a place to meet, share, and engage.

A state of the art 500-square-meter spa offers indoor and outdoor pools, a hammam, a sauna, four pools with different water types (seawater, warm, cold, and hot), and private treatment rooms for a complete wellness experience. A fully equipped gym is designed for people who are serious about strength, conditioning, mobility, and everything in between. A panoramic swimming pool, meanwhile, is not just a place to relax, but a true design statement with a stunning glass mosaic artwork at the bottom that turns it into a living canvas.
