Perched on a cliff surrounded by nature, Eréma presents open horizons and sweeping views over the Aegean Sea.

The outdoor areas unfold gradually, with terraces and planted zones conceived as a continuation of the island’s terraced topography.

Drawing inspiration from the island’s mineral-rich landscape, the design uses stone, marble, and softened earth tones to create spaces that feel grounded, calm, and contemporary.

Location
Just 7 kilometers from Milos Airport and 11 kilometers from Adamas Port, Eréma is set on the southeastern coast of Milos, where the sea meets the sky and the land unfolds toward the horizon, creating an effortless connection to nature. Shaped by Milos’ raw beauty and volcanic terrain, the hotel is also close to the famous beach of Provatas, which is known mainly for its golden sand and calm shallow waters, making it one of the most family-friendly beaches on the island. The open and calm area surrounding the hotel allows one to seamlessly connect with the natural world, while curated activities and explorations are designed to offer guests meaningful experiences, fostering authentic connections with the social, cultural, and environmental fabric of Milos.

Architecture Aristides Dallas Architects & Micromega Architecture & Strategies
Eréma is conceived as a retreat of openness and restraint. The architecture responds to the island’s volcanic terrain rather than competing with it. Monolithic volumes, earthy tones, and sculpted openings reference the island’s mineral character without imitating vernacular Cycladic forms. Here, stone, marble, and softened earth tones create spaces that feel grounded, calm, and contemporary. Throughout the property, generous openings and fluid transitions encourage a continuous relationship between interior spaces and the horizon beyond.
Interior design Interior Design Laboratorium
Materiality, texture, and spatial composition command attention at Eréma, where natural stone and tactile surfaces echo the island’s volcanic origins. An earth-tone palette defines the atmosphere, with color and texture serving as the protagonists—layered, raw, and refined—creating spaces that feel both elemental and serene. The guestrooms draw inspiration from minerals found on the island: Perlite, quartz, bentonite, kaolin, and sulfur inform the tonal direction, expressed through soft whites, muted greys, warm earth tones, and subtle green hues. In the communal spaces, references to manganese, tuff, pumice, and obsidian introduce deeper, more textured accents.

Akiton Restaurant Suspended between sea, sky, and land
As day transitions into evening, Akiton becomes a space of quiet transformation. Fading light and panoramic sunset views shape the atmosphere, moving everything into a slower, more contemplative rhythm. Here, Chef Yiannis Kioroglou draws on his experience at celebrated destinations to express the Medite-Grecian philosophy with a profound clarity. Seasonal, locally sourced ingredients are treated with restraint and intention, allowing each element to speak with authenticity and balance.

Elios Spa A sanctuary for stillness
Shaped by the island’s mineral character and its restorative natural elements, Elios Spa features three treatment rooms and an outdoor heated pool; it is a sanctuary designed for unhurried rituals of care. Eréma’s fitness center, meanwhile, faces the sea, allowing physical activity to unfold against an expansive horizon. Extending outward, a platform hosts yoga sessions in a shaded yet open-air environment, reinforcing the dialogue between body and landscape. A linear swimming pool acts as the spatial anchor of the wellness complex. Oriented toward the sea, it serves as a social threshold—an area for gathering after treatments or yoga practice.
