From May 15 to 20, Design Hotels returns to NYCxDesign with The New York Edit, a public exhibition of collectible work by New York-based designers. Join us at 11 Howard, the design-forward SoHo hotel and longtime member of Design Hotels.
Developed in partnership with leading design retailer Lumens, the exhibition brings together New York–based designers working across lighting and collectible objects, linked by a shared sensibility shaped by the city rather than by category. The exhibition has been curated by Simple Flair, a Milan-born, internationally rooted creative company, and will be staged inside the Library at 11 Howard, a beloved pocket of the city surrounded by the galleries and studios that have long defined downtown creativity.
The designers on show include In Common With, Roll & Hill, SIN, PELLE, and Rosie Li Studio, among others, spanning established Brooklyn studios and newer voices working across lighting, ceramics, and objects. The selection centers on lighting as both medium and narrative device—never neutral in New York, but integral to its visual language: cinematic, raw, artificial, and atmospheric.
