Dark, sultry, sexy, and welcoming, with a stunning fireplace for snuggling, The Ludlow proudly earned a Michelin Key.

Praise by the media, Dirty French serves reinterpreted French cuisine in a New York-style bistro and offers an extensive selection of wines, Champagnes, and cocktails.

Set in the heart of the desirable Lower East Side, amid institutions like Katz’s Deli and Bowery Ballroom, the hotel is a true community hub.

Location
Set between the Bowery and the East River, and Canal Street and Houston Street, the Lower East Side is the place where New Yorkers come to express themselves and be a part of the young scene that gave birth to CBGBs and its successors. It’s crowded, cramped, and loud, yet those who live here—or come to have a meal at a great price or a long, slow coffee in a cool cafe—would have it no other way.

Architecture A New York story
Thanks to its solid brick façade and factory casement windows, the structure conforms to its historic locale. The Terrace suites come with a sizeable outdoor space where one can enjoy breakfast and city views. The Ludlow came to be when Sean MacPherson, Ira Drukier, and Richard Born rescued a derelict building that had been abandoned by its original developers.

A glorious distressed limestone fireplace dominates the lobby lounge, while marble mosaic floors, an eclectic mix of vintage furniture, handpicked finds, and striking art give the area a private and personal feel, like a New Yorker’s downtown living space.
