A connection to the area through the hotel’s architecture is not symbolic—it is experienced the moment one arrives and walks across the river on an iconic bridge. Upon doing so, you will encounter traditional rural riverside typologies—pitched roof forms, layered volumes, and open courtyards reinterpreted in a modern architectural language that reflects the rhythm of nearby village houses and riverside communities, as opposed to a grand, ceremonial hotel form. The result is a design that feels locally grounded and contextually appropriate, while remaining distinctly contemporary.

The hotel's design is framed as a journey, with the act of crossing water marking a psychological shift from an everyday village context to that of an island retreat. Rather than importing an international resort aesthetic, the design follows a modern regional approach, where climate and culture guide the look and feel. Style is not imposed—it emerges naturally from context. Furniture is custom designed, featuring white ash pieces complemented by extensive rattan and wicker elements inspired by Thai craft traditions. Color, meanwhile, is part of a contextual dialogue—the mainland lobby and connecting bridge are finished in a vivid red that echoes the bright tones of surrounding village houses.
