Perched high above the famous spa town of Merano, Italy, Arua Private Spa Villas immerses guests in a sublime and utterly tranquil world of bespoke luxury and amazing views. Six newly built villas—many with a sauna and each with two to three bedrooms and en suite baths, as well as a living room, kitchen, dining area, and large terrace with private mini pool—sit high in the South Tyrolean hills with a stunning panorama of the entire Adige Valley that extends all the way to the Dolomites. This is an intimate, designer-rich enclave awash in the furnishings of Molteni&C | Dada and surrounded by a welcoming garden with an infinity pool, vineyards, fruit orchards, and the highest olive groves in the region. Indeed, a warm color palette of browns, grays, and greens instantly connects guests to the area’s natural splendor. Realized by longtime local restaurateur Otto Mattivi, Arua—which means “peace” in the South Tyrolean dialect—also has a direct link to Hidalgo Mother House, a wine- and food-lover’s haven with more than 600 selected labels, as well as to Aomi Restaurant, which offers up special Wagyu and Kobe beef, Mediterranean dishes, and traditional Alpine cuisine. In any language, however, this Arua means a true celebration of the senses.
