Architecture Alpine beauty in the forest
A blend of heritage and modernity, the building was originally constructed in 1985, but was expanded in 1991 and again in 2017, with new suites and a more contemporary design complementing the original architecture. An extensive use of natural wood, subdued earth tones, and large floor-to-ceiling windows bring in light and connect one directly with the forest.
Interior design NAAS Interior Culture
Each room is designed to feel serene, with warm earth tones and floor-to-ceiling windows opening to private balconies. The property draws from its Alpine chalet architecture while embracing Costa Rican craftsmanship and regenerative design. Natural woods, stone, hand-carved locally crafted furnishings, and organic fabrics are central, creating spaces that feel both timeless and deeply connected to place. Interiors have a midcentury-modern influence, drawing from tropical and mountainous elements to contextualize it.
