The Original Rami Zeidan
Little Havana got its name from the diaspora of Cuban refugees who fled to Miami when Fidel Castro was in power. Although it is the world’s most famous neighborhood for Cuban exiles, Little Havana is now home to an abundance of independent artists and creatives, as well as family-owned businesses with strong ties reaching across Latin America—from restaurants and bars to music venues and art galleries. The neighborhood has also been declared a “national treasure” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation due to its social and cultural importance.
