THIS IS NO PRIVATE RESIDENCE

With its wrought-iron balustrades and column-supported porticoes, only the corresponding house number suggests that the white-stucco Victorian terrace is the hotel Number Sixteen – and not an upscale private residence, situated just steps from London's major museums and Harrods.

Pretty detailing such as colorful glass beads on cushions and shell buttons stitched on to curtains give the rooms a feminine quality, while bold prints and trademark flourishes such as oversized headboards mean they don't feel too dainty.

ELABORATE DETAIL AND DRAMATIC PATTERNS

The eclectic furnishings – a mix of antique, contemporary and ethnic accents – keep the aesthetic fresh and elegantly eccentric.
