Within walking distance of Harrods and Harvey Nichols, the Knightsbridge Hotel is a chic addition to the luxury hotels owned and designed by Kit Kemp. In the suites and rooms, enveloped by bold fabrics, guests can gaze through floor-to-ceiling windows onto one of London's most charming areas, while the upper floors reveal tantalizing glimpses of Harrods' rooftops. Significant British artists adorn the drawing room, library and lobby with original works. Setting this location apart from her other hotels are the African sculptures and fabrics, mixed with tasseled curtains and the neon blue ladder in the library, which add adventuresome touches to the stately interior.

    Rooms & Suites

As admirers of Kit Kemp's classically British aesthetic well know, she pays careful attention to each room, filling it with modern English style featuring clean neutrals and bold colors. What separates the rooms and suites in Knightsbridge Hotel in London from the other Firmdale properties is the influence of African sculptures and fabrics. Choose from single, double, luxury, and deluxe rooms or in the suites category, the junior or Knightsbridge Suite. Located on the hotel’s first floor, Knightsbridge is the hotel’s signature suite and overlooks the charming Beaufort Gardens. If there is a common thread among the Firmdale properties, it’s the bathrooms dressed out in luxurious granite and oak.

    ARCHITECTURE

    Comforting charm

The Knightsbridge Hotel is situated in a quiet tree-filled street in the heart of Knightsbridge. The international designer stores of Sloane Street and Brompton Cross are a minute's walk away, as well as Hyde Park and the museums of South Kensington.

Although the guestrooms' cozy cushions and array of pretty fabrics could be considered quaint, the jazzy contrast of stripes, florals, and geometric shapes injects a thrilling jolt of modernity into their comforting charm.

    INTERIOR DESIGN

    A modern British canvas

Kemp's classically British aesthetic pays careful attention to each room, filling it with modern English style, featuring clean neutrals and bold colors. Art lovers will adore the Carol Sinclair sculpture that rises like stalagmites from the floor, but the art does not overshadow Kemp's signature harmonious mixture of patterns, fabrics, and furniture styles.
