      About your stay

At the heart of the city's fashion and business district, The House Hotel Nişantaşı is set above the Prada boutique on Istanbul's most coveted address, Abdi İpekçi Caddesi. Those who want to unearth cultural treasures can follow a guide from Locally Istanbul, an exclusive service that connects visitors with experts on art, design, and the latest culinary trends. Switching gears, guest can also enjoy personal Pilates sessions in the hotel's serene studio, housed on the top floor and offering direct sea views. International and Turkish flavors combine at the restaurant's alfresco tables, which attract well-to-do locals and lead into a charming, bistro-like lobby lounge. A true boutique hotel, this urban hideaway has just 34 elegantly paneled rooms, plus ten suites, chic cafés and bars. Organic amenities and attentive service add the finishing touches to a hotel that has, understandably, been ranked among the best in the world.

      A stylish pied-a-terre

From the moment that guests slip inside the cloistered entrance on Abdi İpekçi Caddesi – Istanbul’s most exclusive shopping street – they’re transported to a place where lavish shapes flourish and shine. All five floors of the hotel were styled by Seyhan Özdemir and Sefer Caglar of Turkish design powerhouse Autoban. In the lobby, which sits one floor above street level, two beige sofas fill up a wide bay window, mirroring each other like a pair of closed brackets. Underfoot, dark wooden boards run the length of the narrow room, pointing toward a bar-restaurant that doubles as a sociable breakfast area.

      Interior Design

Many of the rooms have separate terraces or views over the Bosphorus, and some even showcase the latest pieces of furniture by Autoban, including the Daisy and Throne series. Beds with soft goose down duvets stand out against the dark wooden desks and light brown wall panels. Bathrooms, separated from the sleeping spaces by sheets of see-through glass, are bright and bold, with marbled lines of greyish blue. For those seeking privacy, neat venetian blinds can be drawn down.

      Canan Özdemir and Ferit Baltacioglu

It was the runaway success of their café brand – The House Café – that inspired Canan Özdemir and Ferit Baltacioglu to enter the hotel business. Since the niche-carving House Hotel Galatasaray launched in April 2010, the business partners have gone on to open two more hotels: The House Hotel Nisantasi and The House Hotel Bosphorus. All three have outstanding city-center locations. Although Canan’s background is in auditing and Ferit’s is in mechanical engineering, they found a shared love in launching new cafés in exciting places. In addition to the three hotels, Canan and Ferit now operate 12 cafés across Istanbul, plus franchised cafés in Antalya and Ankara.
