    Hotel J

On the water's edge at Nacka Strand, Hotel J is a short drive or a 15-minute sail away from Stockholm's city center, but blends the nautical intimacy of New England. The evocative red, white, and blue of the stars and stripes invite visitors from across the Atlantic to feel completely at home. But guests from anywhere will appreciate the cozy feel of whitewashed wood, cotton textiles, and solid oak furniture. ARCHITECTURE

    Millimeter Arkitekter

Inspired by the J-class yachts of America's Cup fame, the original 1912 brick building has been redone in a houseboat style, reminiscent of the American seaside city of Newport. The architects at Millimeter and designers at R.O.O.M. transformed it into a stylish shrine to seafaring. Equipped with its own pier, Hotel J is set among stately oaks and pines with an enchanting view over the marina and the lively boat life on the sea.
