Continuous forms, such as patterned stone, and curved walls and doors, create a feeling of openness between the different levels that appear to flow seamlessly from one story to the next. The combination with strict geometric shapes and fine finishes, create an eclectic mix of patterns and a strong sense of flow.

    Sadar + Vuga

With their vision of maintaining the property’s Baroque elements, architect and interior designers Sadar + Vuga injected a minimalist ethos through the construction of a cladding of reinforced concrete, new steel and glass. A hanging metal curtain on the northern wall of the atrium allows diffused light to enter the core of the building.

    Interior Design

    Minimalistic Flow

The interior design follows a steady line, which runs almost imperceptibly from building to building. All spaces are light and airy with a careful selection of colors and materials. The rooms and suites, as well as the restaurant, wine cellar, and lounge feature high-end materials, exquisite design pieces and plush amenities that culminate in highly sophisticated yet homey comfort.

    Made by Originals

    Aleksander and Amanda Vujandinovič

The Ljubljanica River holds a special place in Slovenian architect Aleksander Vujandinovič's heart, for it was here that he first met his Australian wife Amanda. The pair traveled extensively together until buying an apartment in the city center of Ljubljana. Their home quickly became a hub for like-minded travelers, family, and friends, and when the opportunity arose to acquire the adjoining property, it seemed entirely natural for the enthusiastic hosts to move into hospitality. Aleksander used his previous experience of property development and architecture to create Vander Urbani Resort. Together, they have infused the hotel with such a warmth that it has become a veritable home way from home. In their own words, "After a stay at our hotel, guests will always have a Vander family in Ljubljana."
