In the Sacred Valley of Peru, this nine-room property, each with own terrace, sits unassuming on an acre and a half of gardens dotted with fruit trees, waterfalls, streams, and hammocks, and surrounded by nearby mountains. Andenia promises guests plenty of space to getaway and connect with nature, and is ideally positioned just outside of Cusco en route to Machu Picchu, acting as a springboard for nearby Incan ruins, local villages and handicraft markets, and extensive outdoor activities. Peruvian classics and international favorites made with local, organic ingredients from the property’s gardens and nearby farms are served at the restaurant, while a fireside living room beckons with cocktails and a selection of local teas and coffees. Architecturally, the structures represent traditional construction techniques, and the interiors are the work of a selection of local artists and designers. The occasional evening bonfire also encourages guests to slow down and embrace the rural quietude under the Andean stars.
