Location
Bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the sea on the other, Barra Beach has stunning saltwater mangroves with crystal clear waters that one can explore by boat or on foot. It is located in one of Mozambique’s best diving and fishing regions where largely unexplored reefs offer a once-in-a-lifetime dive experience as well as stellar snorkeling and charter cruise opportunities. Look out for the whale sharks and giant mantas cruising the bay. A huge diversity of game fish abounds in these waters including sailfish and marlin. The region is also the largest cashew nut growing area in Mozambique. Barra Beach is an idyllic beach in the Indian Ocean, still very preserved and away from the crowd.
