Architecture

CARIBBEAN CREATIVE

Though Casa Malca has the feel of an intimate beach house, the newly renovated resort offers the most spacious rooms in Tulum. A large beachfront villa perched above the sand, the property utilizes eco-friendly construction that creates a warm, rustic feel. Casa Malca has not one but three welcoming swimming pools. For the creative visionaries handling the stellar renovation here, the job was as much archaeology as architecture as the pools had been consumed by a huge sand dune.

LUST & SPACE

Casa Malca’s airy rooms present an eclectic mix of color, contour, and luxury, while floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a breathtaking view of the beach or gaze upon organic gardens. Don’t be surprised to discover a hammock on a private terrace, perfect for enjoying the hotel’s inspiring art and the surrounding Mexican jungle.

Public spaces at Casa Malca incorporate Mayan themes, natural wood, large windows for maximum exposure to the sun, and bursts of color that serve to inspire guests and add zest to the resort’s locally sourced, organic cuisine.
