Located within a heritage-site setting, The Prestige draws inspiration from George Town’s Penang Botanic Gardens, from the area’s colonial roots, and from the many 19th-century buildings found along historic Church street. Local scenes of Penang, both modern and historic, are etched into an interior bronze wall, while surrounding retail plots pop in and out of view, creating visual relief. The hotel’s landscaping draws one’s attention to the city’s abundant natural light.

Ministry of Design

With The Prestige, Ministry of Design has created a modern-day interpretation of Victorian-era elegance. This is a world of black-and-white floor patterns, lush plants, and rattan.

Multiple rotating lights along the guestroom corridors project an intricate lattice of shadows, magically animating one’s journey down the walkway, while rich tropical botanic elements abound and pay homage to the hotel’s tropical setting.
