The Park Hotel Tokyo is ideally situated in Shiodome, a flourishing new center of business and culture. Those who want to explore the fascinating facets of Tokyo have a smooth transition from the Park Hotel's sanctuary to the Waterfront Transit Station, by way of low-level exits that lead directly to the heart of the capital.  But inside the hotel, natural light enters through a ten-story atrium, its illumination of the space is truly one of the business district's wonders. Equally attractive is the lobby's sunlit garden, which embodies Japan's cultural tradition of incorporating nature into even the most forward-thinking man-made marvels. In its effort to offer unique and creative services, Park Hotel supports the "Creative Tokyo" initiative, which is part of the "Cool Japan Strategy Program" promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to share Japanese culture across the globe. It also provides venues for creative events to revitalize Tokyo.

      Shiodome Media Tower

The sleek triangular skyscraper of the Park Hotel Tokyo features 273 guestrooms spanning across the top ten floors of the Shiodome Media Tower in downtown Tokyo. A home to international media organizations and television companies, the tower also offers an oasis of elegant living amid the area's bustle and flow. The Park Hotel Tokyo also pays homage to local natural traditions of nature, which is translated in the hotel's glass-roofed atrium. A soothing haven of trees and greenery, it stretches between the building's 25th and 34th floors, creating a well of warming sunlight that augments the sensation of balance and vitality fostered by the architecture.

      Interior Design

      Sensuously curvaceous forms

Trees and plants placed on the obsidian and teak lobby floor reflect the Japanese cultural tradition of living in harmony with nature. The hotel has dedicated "Artist" rooms for foreign guests who are interested in Japanese aesthetics and arts. The SUMO room for example features works by Hriyoyuki Kimura who visits sumo stables everyday to capture the wrestlers training. The WASHI room, on the other hand, has 108 demi-gods carved out of wooden printing blocks by Naoki Takenouchi.

      Frédéric Thomas

French architect Frédéric Thomas is a master of poetic elements. Thomas was trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, before working with renowned designer Andrée Putman and architect Jean-François Bodin. In 1985, he founded his own studio, where his work embraced the philosophy that manmade and natural environments are closely linked in a single thought. In 2003, he designed the Park Hotel Tokyo, a sleek triangular space that connects with the lively milieu of downtown Tokyo, without succumbing to its fast pace. Awarded "Best Values 2008" for his interiors at Park, Frédéric Thomas makes harmony the backbone of all of his concepts.
