The sloping ground gives one the impression of enjoying the spectacular view from a preferential standpoint, where the everchanging light and colors are reminiscent of a theatrical presentation. Each villa was also imagined as an independent unit to ensure privacy and exclusivity.

ARCHITECTURE

Wilfried Menz

Boasting large windows with minimal frames for maximum of natural light, the architecture at Arua is contemporary yet designed with the natural surroundings squarely in mind by local architect Wilfried Menz. The structure also incorporates the old Gandbauer farm that was originally on the site.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Nicola Gallizia

Conceived by Milanese designer Nicola Gallizia and realized with the furnishings of well-known Italian designers, the contemporary interiors of Arua have a Bauhaus feel that is defined by natural colors and materials such as wood and stone. Original Otto Mattivi decided to collaborate with Molteni&C | Dada to ensure a home-like ambience and an “abitare a prova” approach to hospitality.

Glass, leather, and concrete combine to add sleekness and warmth, while furniture ranges from Penta lamps and curtains by Eco Design to bathroom furnishings by Gessi & Karol.
