    Hotel Bachmair Weissach

At Hotel Bachmair Weissach, Bavarian authenticity and local heritage blend with simple elegance and countryside cool, creating a lifestyle resort for business and leisure. Close to Munich, on the shores of Lake Tegernsee in Rottach-Egern, this majestic alpine beauty, built in 1862 and consisting of several buildings surrounded by parkland and crisscrossed by a mountain brook, has been restored to its former glory. It now combines simple elegance and pastoral cool to convey the feeling of a private country club, but with a balance of family-friendly atmosphere and professional service. Owner Korbinian Kohler's vision to re-establish Hotel Bachmair Weissach as a hive of social activity is supremely evident, not only in the 146 rooms and suites, but in the fireside Bachmair Weissach Lounge, where pine ceilings and wall panels combine old Bavarian traditions with a warm contemporary welcome.

    Local Knowledge

In 1862, local mill owners the Bachmair family, built a small hotel which quickly became a gathering point for artisans and farmers, and a celebration venue for locals. In 2010, local Korbinian Kohler, whose grandfather was a regular patron, obtained the property with a vision to bring the hotel back to its former glory. Today, details, such as original furniture, low glowing candles, fresh flowers, and ornate chandeliers are scattered throughout the property, giving the place a genuine, homegrown allure.

Something as classic as an old wooden table gets a slightly modern spin at Hotel Bachmair Weissach, while traditional Lederhosen are literally frame-worthy cultural treasures celebrating the rich Bavarian way of life here.

    Interior Design

    Intimate Charm

Bavarian traditions are given a contemporary facelift, with pine ceilings and wall panels, tables made from slices of tree trunks, velvet chairs, and a dramatic fireplace on a black wall, backlit by a sultry red light.
