      About Your Stay

Located directly on the bustling Viktualienmarkt, the Louis is an ideal starting point for any Munich visitor, a short stroll away from all the main sights of the city: Glockenspiel, Hofbräuhaus, and famed Maximilianstrasse – the neo-Gothic avenue extraordinaire. Its 72 individually designed rooms offer a delightful retreat after a jam-packed day of exploration. With the airport only 45 minutes away and the Main Train Station easily reachable by public transportation, the Louis Hotel is the perfect starting point for your journey.

      Hild and K

Housed in a 100-year-old building revamped by local architects Hild and K, the Louis combines the modern with the traditional style, Baroque. The neatly arranged high room windows with French balconies give the façade a modern feel while the stucco profiles around the windows is reminiscent of Baroque style. Huge vertical letters in plaster relief announce “hotel”, informing those from afar its proud purpose.

      Big statements and little details

Bronze door handles compliment walnut bed frames and local timbers offset regional natural stones. Standing lamps and wall lights shed a warm glow on oiled oak floors, handmade desks, and Italian fabric fittings. Mattresses by Sembella are made of natural rubber.

Guestrooms feature custom-made furniture that is elegant and surprising, like closets that are influenced by suitcase designs to Gentleman’s Bars filled with custom-bottled spirits.

      Rudi Kull and Albert Weinzierl

Rudi Kull and Albert Weinzierl have become two of the most acclaimed hoteliers and gastronomes in Munich, with two hotels and six restaurants. Determined to make their second hotel a place for world travelers by world travelers, the duo opened the Louis Hotel in 2009. Their collaboration has blossomed into a partnership that pushes boundaries and is consistently stimulating for themselves and Munich’s creative classes.
