    Rooms & Suites

The 25hours Hotel Hamburg HafenCity has 170 cabins, each with maritime decor. The five different cabin types (M, M+, Bunk Bed, L, Captain’s) tell tales of wanderlust. The cozy M cabins contain a queen-size bed with a welcoming ocean-going atmosphere. The M+ cabins overlook Hamburg’s spectacular port or a quiet courtyard. The laidback bunk cabins will have you thinking you are about to set sail. L cabins are inspired by the harbor and offer the enhanced comfort of a king-size bed and additional seating. And the spacious Captain’s Cabins have a king-size bed and a lounge area to relax in. All hotel guests have access to WiFi and MINI/bicycle rental free of charge.

    ARCHITECTURE

    Böge Lindner Architekten

Behind 25hours Hotel Hafencity’s modest, modern facade lies a seafaring narrative of contemporary wanderlust. Hamburg novelist Joachim Ringelnatz’s 1920 classic Kuttel Daddeldu, the tale of an anarchic sailor living within the harbor’s underbelly, provided the inspiration for the hotel’s design. Local architecture firm Böge Lindner expresses the contrast between the harbor and the sea through architectural details like shipping containers, a check-in counter comprised from creatively stacked wooden crates, and an eye-popping floor design that evokes the bustle of a working shipyard. The harbor sauna and exercise room perched on the roof offer a terrace and views of Hafencity’s ever-changing skyline.

Film set designer Conni Kotte scouted flea markets for vintage furniture and naval accessories to complement each of the hotel’s 170 rooms, which are conceived as personal cabins.

The vanguard 25hours Hotel Company returns the tradition of the grand old hotel to contemporary form with its inventive, made-to-measure ‘budget-de-luxe hotels with freshly interpreted service’ where the staff maintains a concierge-level attentiveness, while invoking a laidback, authentic atmosphere. Each 25hours hotel tells a story via design concepts built from organic narratives inspired by the hotel’s location, as well as pure imagination. Ardi Goldman is their resident visionary, from real estate development down to the finest detail of décor; Stephan Gerhard keeps his sharp Swabian eye turned to the numbers; Kai Hollmann is the grand seigneur of Hamburg’s hospitality industry, and CEO Christoph Hoffmann claims the title of unwitting captain of their cunning fleet.
