The newest addition to their "hospitality empire" is ROOMERS, a sleek and sultry celebrity magnet in Germany's financial capital. Passing through the front door of interior designer Oana Rosen's masterpiece is like entering an exclusive nightclub, no matter what time of day it is. The restaurant is a cocoon-like place to enjoy excellent steak and fish dishes. From leather and velvet to brushed metal and ebony, textures are not only tactile but visual. Topping off the hotel is a 600-square-meter roof space encased in an illuminated glass dome that’s set in specially glazed white concrete. Inside this futuristic bubble are not only several conference rooms and a screening space, but also an impressive spa conceptualized by Berlin-based 3deluxe - biorhythm. “Alex and I live what we sell,” says Rosen. “We don’t look for trends. We’re lucky in that what we like, other people seem to like as well.”
Both raven-haired, impeccably dressed and either soon-to-be or recently turned 40, the two have long been pioneers in their hometown’s hospitality scene, but they are also just as much a part of it as their guests. Partners since the early 2000s, they have established reputations not only as savvy businessmen, but also as consummate hosts who throw Frankfurt’s most unforgettable parties with the city’s best guest list. Current short-term plans abound: a new bar is in the works in a cozy basement in Frankfurt’s center. Over the long term, the men intend to carry the Roomers concept to other cities, always customizing the concept to suit the location.
