Set in the heart of Paris' Golden Triangle, walking distance from the city’s most iconic landmarks, the hotel uses dramatic illusions and ironic interiors to entice guests to return. Seventeen of the rooms and suites belong to the Couture Collection, Maison Martin Margiela’s first interior project. The interiors are decorated with a touch of whimsy that plays with proportion and perception. The lighthearted, attentive service can be experienced at La Table du 8 restaurant and bar, right through to The Cigar Bar and The White Lounge, surrounded by a terrace and a dense year-round garden. Numer 8 rue Jean Goujon combines generosity, poetry, luxury and lightness with a quirky vision.

    Rooms & Suites

Seventeen of the 57 rooms and suites at La Maison Champs Elysees belong to the Couture Collection, designed by Maison Martin Margiela. Each of these rooms is not only unique, but unlike anything that has been seen before. Visual trickery and inspiring, imaginative touches abound. In one suite the walls are painted black and the parquet oak floor has been stained to match, with an entire wall devoted to a “curiosities” case. In another, a large landscape is printed on the wallpaper, which is reflected on an entirely mirrored wall opposite the bed. The 40 spacious Boutique Collection rooms and suites face a quiet inner courtyard and come in a soothing palette of neutral shades designed for utter relaxation.

Damon enhanced and dramatized the historic features, while respecting the heritage of the building. The show begins in the lobby where the decor is like a succession of stage sets blending different styles and eras harmoniously.

    Visual trickery and imaginative touches

Maison Martin Margiela plays with visual trickery and inspiring, imaginative touches to decorate the suites. In one suite the walls are painted black and the parquet oak floor has been stained to match, while in The White Lounge a woolen carpet portrays a classical French ceiling. The 57 rooms and suites all put comfort and luxury at center stage—with state-of-the-art bedding and mattress pads in pure goose down.
