On a private, protected hill by the Mediterranean lies a temple of well-being—La Réserve Ramatuelle Hotel, Spa and Villas. Just outside legendary Saint-Tropez, this hilltop hideaway is part spa, part hotel, and all serenity. Its 9 guestrooms, 19 suites, and 1,000-square-meter spa are seamlessly integrated into La Réserve's private domain, a gorgeous pine-covered expanse, also home to 12 private villas that can be rented on a short- or long-term basis. The luxuriously spacious bedrooms range from 50 to 100 square meters and are equipped with a private terrace or scented garden offering unrestricted views of the Mediterranean Sea. The heart of La Réserve is its enormous spa, which includes 10 treatment cabins, indoor pool, fitness studio, steam bath, and solarium. Organized around four major objectives—stress reduction, fitness, slimming, and beauty—these customized programs help guests detoxify and relax, making the resort a fountain of youth and longevity.

    Architecture

    Jean-Michel Wilmotte

It’s hard to compete with the stunning natural beauty of Provence, especially in Ramatuelle, which sits amid pine-topped hills and above the sparkling Mediterranean waters. So instead, architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte chose to embrace the landscape, creating spaces that pay reverence to the environment surrounding them. In a complete transformation of the 1950’s buildings in which La Réserve Ramatuelle Hotel, Spa and Villas now stands, Wilmotte chose natural materials and a soft color palette of ochre, white, and sandy beige. The result is a fresh and relaxing space that gracefully mirrors its serene seaside setting.

    Interior Design

    Cool, Calm, and Creative

La Réserve is a feast of subtle design touches. Its stone floors are bedecked with woven rugs by Paola Lenti and Tai Ping; its giant windows are hung with linen and cotton drapes by Marc Geisen and Kieffer; and its rooms are filled with contemporary furniture by Hans J. Wegner, Finn Juhl, Moroso, Flexform, Poltrona Frau, B&B and Roda.

    Made by Originals

    Raouf Finan & Michel Reybier

Behind La Réserve stand the Lebanese-born, managing director Raouf Finan and the visionary owner Michel Reybier. Located in Geneva, Paris, and Ramatuelle, each property of La Réserve has its own distinct style. Already a magnate in the chocolate, delicatessen, and supermarket industries, Reybier was on vacation in Bali when he met Finan, who at the time was a resourceful general manager of an exclusive resort. After working at New York’s illustrious Drake Hotel and studying at Switzerland’s top-ranked Glion Institute, Finan had been developing and running luxury hotels in Asia for almost a decade. The two felt an instant affinity. With La Réserve, the pair has struck a balance between, as they see it, someplace inviting but otherworldly, too.
