Situated on a beautiful street in Copenhagen’s quaint, trendy Latin Quarter, SKT. PETRI is a fine example of superior minimalist Scandinavian design—with a warm, welcoming glow. Gliding up to the sexy, light-filled lobby on the escalator is the first of many quirky experiences created by Danish design studio Erik Møllers Tegnestue at the SKT. PETRI—a renovated 1930s department store named after the famous church nearby.

The mezzanine lobby is filled with clean lines and curves, and the glamorous large rings of light hanging overhead crown the soaring space. The lobby Restaurant Petri is open in the summer to a soothing courtyard garden; the lobby also showcases the elegant nightspot Bar Rouge, one of Copenhagen’s most exclusive lounges. One of Denmark’s leading visual artists, Per Arnoldi, selected a tricolor scheme for both public and private spaces. The SKT. PETRI is all about modern comfort and magnificent to-the-point functionality.

    Minimalist Design and Cosmopolitan Flair

Given its location in the heart of Copenhagen, SKT. PETRI stands as a fine example of the very best in minimalist Scandinavian design—with a warm welcoming glow and a refreshing humorous edge. The light-filled lobby is an apt introduction to the many quirky experiences created by local architect Erik Møllers Tegnestue at the SKT. PETRI – being a renovated former department store designed by Vilhelm Lauritsen, dating back to the 1930s. The mezzanine reception area is filled with clean lines and characteristic curves of functionalism, and sizeable rings of light float above the space. Changing art and design exhibitions add to the cosmopolitan flair of the lobby.
