Located in the 1st district of Vienna, Hotel Topazz is surrounded by more than sixty museums, cathedrals, churches, luxury shopping, dining and famous coffeehouses. With landmark architecture and a sustainable, resource-saving philosophy, the holistic property is Vienna's first green upscale hotel. Thirty-three guestrooms, including a penthouse suite, draw influence from Vienna's artistic heritage of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The hotel's cozy and inspiring Salon re-creates the easy-going yet luxurious vibe of a private turn-of-the-century Viennese house. Rooms & Suites

In Vienna’s 1st district, Hotel Topazz’s 32 rooms, including a penthouse suite with terrace, are spread over eight floors and feature custom-made furnishings, light fixtures, and lush curtains, all in earthy and natural tones. The penthouse suite, with its breathtaking views over Vienna, not only serves as a home for guests but can also be used as a function room for receptions or meeting. Unique lighting fixtures, fauteuils, and fabrics are inspired by Wiener Werkstätte – an early 20th-century community of Viennese architects, artists, and designers committed to creating accessible art. Each of the oval windows has a divan bed inspired by Biedermeier furniture integrated into the windowsill. The spacious bathrooms are informed by plush 1930s style and outfitted in chrome, nickel, marble, and fine china.

    ARCHITECTURE

    BWM Architekten & Partner

Designed by award-winning Viennese firm BWM Architekten & Partner, the hotel’s dark façade is dotted with large oval windows. These are staggered at different intervals to match various heights of the neighboring houses. Interior designer Michael Manzenreiter was inspired by the hotel’s façade, which reminded him of a cylindrical silver vase gemmed with oval amber stones by Viennese artist Koloman Moser.

    Martin Lenikus

Whether in real estate, urban development, viticulture or the art scene, Martin Lenikus is constantly raising the bar in his hometown of Vienna, while maintaining a sustainable approach to all projects. Lenikus and his team established LENIKUS Group in 1989, and began revitalizing the Austrian capital through urban design projects and the renewal of traditional Viennese houses. Hotel Lamée and its sister Hotel Topazz are the company's first hotel developments. But his passions don't stop at property—Martin Lenikus is a collector of contemporary art and owns approximately 25 hectares of vineyards on the outskirts of Vienna.
