Escape to another era at Hotel Lamée, where a harmonious mix of old and new harks back to the glamour of 1930s Hollywood, while exuding Viennese charm. Located in Vienna’s historic 1st district—surrounded by museums, galleries, luxury shopping, and famous coffee houses—the original 1930s building offers a modern interpretation of an intimate grand hotel. At Bloom, the hotel’s two-story café, bar and bistro, guests and locals alike enjoy Austrian interpretations of innovative delicacies. The specialties are prepared using organic products and served alongside owner Martin Lenikus’ own brand of eco-friendly wines. Located on a busy corner, the large glass doors open onto the street, inviting a lively buzz into the richly decorated space. From the breezy rooftop garden, views of the old town and the spires of St. Stephen’s cathedral will bring guests back to the Vienna of here and now, before being whisked away again inside.

      Sustainable Tradition

When restoring old buildings, the LENIKUS Group places the utmost importance on blending cultural traditions and modern trends – maintaining their historic value, while creating new, landscape architecture with the resources available today. Such was the case with Hotel Lamée: originally constructed in the 1930s, the building was renovated with a focus on sustainability and environmental impact in mind. Hotel Lamée, and its sister property, Hotel Topazz, across the street, both use advanced technology to save energy and generate low operating cost resources. But the sustainable approach does not end there. Throughout the hotel, high-quality green materials have been used for building and interior design, including the furniture, linen and locally-sourced food and drinks. The geometric design of the façade carries on into the hotel’s entrance, where light splashes against the warm brown marble of the floors, walls and ceilings.

Art deco-inspired light fixtures with oversized tassels, velvet ottomans, wooden credenzas, cognac leather dressers, and luxurious bes create the feeling that the plush room belongs to an alluring starlet.

In the guestrooms, a well thought out lighting concept and high-gloss wooden veneers create a comfortable and elegant atmosphere that fuses distinctive Viennese charm with Hollywood’s golden days.

      Martin Lenikus

Whether in real estate, urban development, viticulture, or the art scene, Martin Lenikus is constantly raising the bar in his hometown of Vienna, while maintaining a sustainable approach to all projects. Lenikus and his team established LENIKUS Group in 1989, and began revitalizing the Austrian capital through urban design projects and the renewal of traditional Viennese houses. Hotel Lamée and its sister Hotel Topazz are the company's first hotel developments. But his passions don't stop at property—Martin Lenikus is a collector of contemporary art and owns approximately 25 hectares of vineyards on the outskirts of Vienna.
