DID YOU KNOW
Carbon Dioxide Emissions generated directly from the tourism sector account for approximately 5% of global carbon emissions.
If tourism was compared with the emissions of countries, tourism would be the FIFTH BIGGEST POLLUTER worldwide.
of Finding Infinity
To learn as much as we could about living responsibility in the world today, we undertook a quest—to sit down with our hotel owners and their forward-thinking community partners and hear firsthand about the energy-related issues confronting them. Their stories are not only eye-opening, they have been brought to life by our indefatigable team. This includes the initiator of Finding Infinity, Ross Harding, a self-professed “weird guy asking the questions” about how we can switch the world to infinite energy resources as soon as is humanly possible. Co-host Mexican fashion designer Bianca Aguayo, filmmaker Kaspar (“the warrior”) Lerch, and Daniel, a genius in filming and editing technology, join Ross, rounding out our stellar Finding Infinity team.
A symphony is richer than a soloist. Hence we have partnered with brands that are working on a better future for the world in their own big or small way. Member hotels will benefit from EarthCheck, a leading eco-management and certification program, which already helped over 1,300 travel and tourism companies worldwide. The European Climate Foundation is a philanthropic body that promotes climate and energy policies. We also have support from the lifestyle sectors with iconic brands such as Audi, cool independent names such as MYKITA and our friends from Freunde Von Freuden. And the Green Music Initiative, a platform for the entertainment industry to promote climate-compatible music.
