Change is the only constant. We have always looked towards hospitality’s horizons, taking pride in our continuing curiosity surrounding our lives, our work, and the future of travel. Over the past 25 years, we have focused on the important role that travel plays in personal growth and development. Now, expanding upon this idea, we want to gather people together to advance growth and transformation in a virtual space.
Changing times have created a new opportunity for us to rethink the way we live and gather, as well as how we may better engage with one another. We are eager to cultivate meaningful relationships that focus on bringing more balance, wellbeing, and growth to our lives. Far beyond a networking event, this will be a space for personal development and growth.
True to the Design Hotels philosophy, our virtual retreat is rich with insights, inspirations, and innovations from across the travel industry, including those in the areas of wellness and mindfulness practices that we’ve gleaned from different corners of the world. These themes, born from the experiences, practices, and tools that we have picked up through our many travels, will be explored through the lens of our Promadic Travel report, created in collaboration with The Future Laboratory.
Our four-week journey focuses on exploring the habits and values of an emerging segment of travelers, people like the members of our own large Community and, concludes with the Fast Company Innovation Festival and an exclusive event in collaboration with NeueHouse on September 29. Each week we will explore a different value and motivation that is important to leading a more balanced life. During the 4 weeks, we will provide you with the tools to lead a more mindful and purpose-driven life.
This virtual retreat will be a collaborative journey, guided through workshops, expert panels, and connection sessions to promote self-development. To join us for this unique experience, you will be asked to commit to approximately 4 hours a week, Tuesday to Friday.
Be a part of a diverse group of individuals and thought leaders who are seeking to embark on a personal transformation, one that explores living on a deeper and more conscious level.

Through the retreat’s four-part journey, you will experience guided exercises designed to help you deepen your personal awareness, connect to your intentions, and find the path ahead.
Be immersed in a series of conversations led by our community of visionaries, folks who will help us to uncover who we are and what our roles are in reimagining and reinventing how we live and travel.

The starting point for any journey is ourselves. Therefore we will begin the experience by centering ourselves in our personal narratives and histories with the theme of conscious self-awareness.
A deep dive into the theme of purpose and personal development is guided by the idea that we should be proactive about the way we live and engage with others. We will explore our purpose to help us foster a sense of personal progress.
This week we will examine the roles we play in creating connections, community, and a shared culture. We’ll look at our personal types of connection and the external influences at play, including the way we integrate with our local communities and spaces.
We will conclude the experience by uncovering and modeling our own uniqueness, and by exploring the ways in which personalization is all about details and human connection. To to do this, we will be joining the Fast Company Innovation Festival. More info coming soon.
