HOSPES AMERIGO ALICANTE, SPAIN |
| THE HOTEL |
| The Hospes Amérigo has been through a series of previous lives before becoming the exceptional property it is today. Formerly a Dominican convent, then a complex of commercial offices and lastly an appartment block, the building was saved, wholly refurbished and updated by Elvira Blanco. She has reaffirmed the construction's unitary character, and determined an intimate, personal series of spaces in the middle of Alicante, just fifteen metres from the town hall and the well-known "La Esplanada" avenue. A clear example of modern Spanish hospitality, Hospes Amérigo has a well-equipped fitness suite, a roof terrace with heated pool and fantastic views of Alicante's castle. Finish off a Mediterranean day with dinner in one of the hotel's two restaurants; perhaps in the refined settings of a private dining room. |
