In purest crisp Alpine air, 1.500m above sea level, the vigilius mountain resort is accessible only by cable car. No roads, no traffic, no noise. An exclusive refuge for a fortunate few, not all guests of the mountain will be guests at vigilius. On the pristine Vigiljoch peak in South Tyrol, it seems natural that architect Matteo Thun should have been influenced by the strong surroundings. Like a tree that has fallen in the forest, the property combines old substance with fresh growth, generating new internal life and a commitment to renewal: 300-year-old timber beams, rich with history, have been resurrected in the Stadel-style restaurant. The grass-covered roof is an ultra-ecological solution to aesthetic energy conservation. Inspirational views of the surrounding Dolomite Mountains, with their ever-changing colors, act as the backdrop for "focus weeks" at the resort, concentrating on enhancing elements such as health, nutrition, movement and beauty.
