New York's centrepiece, Manhattan, has more landmarks than some countries as well as one of the most amazing ensembles of skyscrapers in the western world, including the Art Deco Chrysler Building (1930), the Seagram Building (1957) and the Condé Nast Building (2000). New York is also home to a lively established/underground art scene, and has many fine museums as well as the iconic Statue of Liberty.
