Owned and managed by D&D London, which operates high-class restaurants around the globe, South Place Hotel brings a restaurateur’s perspective to the world of hotels. The public spaces are a vibrant mix of vintage and contemporary design and art, whilst the bedrooms are a comfortable mix of understated luxury and attention to detail. In each of the 80 bedrooms, guests will find individually chosen art pieces by contemporary London artists that form part of the hotel’s extensive art collection.
The focus on food and entertainment is evident throughout the hotel, creating an environment that is ‘more meet than sleep’. Hotel guests and local Londoners can choose to dine in Angler, an elegant seafood restaurant and terrace on the rooftop with impressive views of London, or at 3 South Place, which serves classic British ‘bites’ throughout the day and into the night. 3 South Place Bar provides drinks and snacks, with late-night DJs creating a ‘speakeasy’ after-hours vibe. On the first floor, a ‘secret’ Garden offers a retreat to hotel guests along with Le Chiffre, the residents’ games room. Here you will also find five meeting and private dining rooms as well as a well-equipped gym, spa and wellness center.
A whole window on the hotel’s ground floor will showcase the winner of the South Place Hotel Art Prize, an annual competition open to MA graduates of London art schools. The Prize is a testament to the South Place Hotel’s inspiring and incorporative presence on the fringe area of the City where it meets the East End and where urban English tradition engages with edgier art and design.

Occupying a prime location between Liverpool Street and Moorgate, South Place Hotel brings together two of London’s central areas: the City and the East End.
The area is known for its multi-cultural ethnic mix and its vibrant nightlife. South Place Hotel is located right across from Finsbury Circus, the largest of the City's gardens, with an area of 2.2 hectares. Moorgate Station (Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan Lines; First Capital Connect) is 200 meters away; Liverpool Station (Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan Lines; c2c, National Express East Anglia) 400 meters.
