The English city of Liverpool is world-famous as the hometown of the Beatles.

It was one of the most important port cities in the world during the 19th century and has man impressive monuments from that area, among them the Albert Docks, opened in 1846. Today, the Tate Liverpool museum occupies a converted warehouse inside the dock. Liverpool became a youth culture hot sport after WW II; the Cavern Club, where the Beatles started their career, has been reconstructed in 1984 and is still a working live music club.
