MEET THE ORIGINALS
It was the runaway success of their café brand – The House Café – that inspired Canan Özdemir and Ferit Baltacioglu to enter the hotel business. Since the niche-carving House Hotel Galatasaray launched in April 2010, the business partners have gone on to open two more hotels: The House Hotel Nişantaşı and The House Hotel Bosphorus. All three have outstanding city-center locations. Although Canan’s background is in auditing and Ferit’s is in mechanical engineering, they found a shared love in launching new cafés in exciting places. In addition to the three hotels, Canan and Ferit now operate 12 cafés across Istanbul, plus franchised cafés in İzmir, Antalya and Ankara.
