Stockholm has a number of impressive buildings, among them the Nordic Museum, started (but never finished) by Isak Gustaf Clason, and the Riddarholmskyrkan, the burial church of the Swedish kings and the oldest building in town. The Public Library, completed in 1928 by Gunnar Asplund, is a national landmark and has a pleasant interior. Asplund was one of the defining architects of modern Stockholm; other examples of his work include the Woodland Crematorium and Chapel.
