Hotel J is currently in the process of adding an additional 113 rooms and conference facilities for up to 160 persons. The development will be finished in August 2011.
On the water's edge at Nacka Strand, Hotel J in Stockholm has mile wide views over the royal Djurgården, Lidingö and the boats on Saltsjön. With its own guest harbour for 25 boats, Hotel J is only 15 minutes sailing from Stockholm. Inspired by J boats of America's Cup history, the original 1912 brick building has been decorated in a contemporary marine style recalling the boathouses of New England. Architects, Millimeter and designers, R.O.O.M. have used white-painted wooden boards, strong cotton cloths in pure colors and oak furniture to create the look. The lobby is the centerpiece of Hotel J where, by the fireside, guests can enjoy the same fine views as from their bedrooms. The hotel's "Restaurant J", lying on the pier, specialises in modern, international seafood. Sailing, fishing and golf are all accessible in the area. The nearby Tornvillan Center has conference and banqueting facilities and the Poseidon fitness center, available to guests.
