The city of Palma has much to offer. Its cathedral, La Seu, is mainly Gothic in style, but has touches of numerous other periods. Antoni Gaudí partially reworked the cathedral in the early 20th century, and the artist Miquel Barceló has recently redesigned one of its chapels. Its Old Town combines Spanish and Arab elements pleasantly; the museum for contemporary art, Es Baluard, impressively uses spaces inside the old city fortifications and opened its gates in 2004.
