Following a long career as hotelier, Pau Guardans lives and breathes hospitality. As the owner of three members of Design Hotels™ (Hotel Único in Madrid, Grand Hotel Central in Barcelona and Hotel Miró in Bilbao), he is passionate about making guests feel at home in his properties. Each one aims to reinterpret old grand hotels, while focusing on modern details – such as leading design and technology; great gastronomy; and made to measure services. Grand Hotel Central occupies a special place in his heart because it stands in the city he calls home. “I like to run the hotel as if it is my home and my friends are visiting. I never stop reinventing the place – I always look for ways to surprise my guests,” says Guardans. “We like to think of our hotels as the main door to discover and explore the city.”
