ANDALUSIA

Spain's seductive southernmost region: the birthplace of flamenco and the definition of Spanish lifestyle.

Casa sull'Albero is bookable for stays from May 25, 2013.

On the shores of Lake Como, in a sunlit garden filled with mature trees, there’s a landmark building that allows its guests to embrace the beauty of rural Italy. All 12 of the loft suites at Casa sull’Albero were built with walls of transparent glass on their outermost edges, letting mountain and lake Como scenery flood into the bedrooms. And the natural world isn’t just some distant view; local stone and natural wood make up a large part of each suite’s design, inviting visitors to make a real connection with nature.

Casa sull’Albero is the brainchild of Andrea Colzani, the self-taught architect behind C-Hotel & Spa, 20km to the south. Just like it’s sister property, Casa sull’Albero has a sense-rousing spa, where specially designed music and fragrance concepts accompany indoor and outdoor treatments. Colzani has also chosen to include sociable spaces that encourage deep relaxation, such as a soothing saltwater pool, and a library that’s stocked with books on art and photography. The hotel, set in the tiny lakeside village of Malgrate, is just across the water from the restaurants and bars of Lecco. But with Casa sull’Albero’s 24-hour honesty kitchen and exemplary personal service, there’s really no need to travel that far.

Unwind in the intimate grounds of Casa sull’Albero, on the shores of Lake Como, and connect with the untamed beauty of rural Italy.

LOCATION OF CASA SULL'ALBERO

Casa sull’Albero is located in Malgrate, a small commune within the Province Lecco at the eastern shore of Lake Como, in the Italian region of Lombardy.

A bridge connects the village Malgrate with the city of Lecco, which is located on the opposite site. The city Lecco grew rapidly starting from the 18th century with the Industrial Revolution, becoming one of the most important Italian industrial centers, and is today the capital of a wealthy, productive province.
The city enjoys an almost unique position, surrounded by fantastic, fairy tale countryside.
