HOTEL ROSSLYN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY |
 |
The Hotel Rosslyn will open in Autumn 2008
The impressive, stone building now home to the Rosslyn Hotel was formerly a Grand Lodge belonging to the Budapest Freemason Society, and many of the old features remain today. Original seminato veneziano flooring in the lobby, intact frescoes on the walls and an elaborately decorated façade give the Rosslyn an antique feel entirely appropriate for a hotel located in the historic centre of an ancient Central European hub.
And yet Rosslyn rooms, facilities and services are anything but antique. The 70 beautiful, understated and welcoming suites come with plenty of creature comforts – TV, DVD player, hair dryer and wireless Internet, amongst others – and hotel facilities include a fully-equipped gym, a business centre and a conference room for up to 200 people. At the in-house spa, guests can enjoy a variety of massages ad treatments, and at the hotel tapas bar, they can treat themselves to delicious snacks and meals. Best of all, guests have easy access to the many cultural, culinary, shopping and nightlife highlights the Hungarian capital has to offer. Like its architecture, the Rosslyn’s location represents a melding of old and new, standing as it does on the border of the city’s historic downtown and up-and-coming government quarter. Guests, in other words, have the best of both ancient and modern Budapest right at their fingertips. |
