The Factory Hotel is an eclectic mix of buildings – some old, some new – located at what was once the site of the Germania Brewery in Münster. In addition to sprucing up the old brewery buildings and grounds, architect Andreas Deilmann introduced a brand-new, modern wing to the otherwise brick-and-stone complex, transforming the entire area into a vibrant destination for travellers and locals alike. At the heart of the compound stands the landmark-protected main brewery building, which overlooks a lovely lake and is surrounded by scattered restaurants, clubs and shops. The 128 standard rooms and 16 suites are all housed in the new wing, set slightly apart from the bustle of Factory Hotel life so that guests are assured a quiet night’s sleep but are never too far from the action. All rooms feature a modern design focused on solid, reliable elements like wood, concrete and felt, making for a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. Each also comes equipped with a balcony, exceptionally spacious bathroom, work area, free wireless and cable Internet access, direct-dial telephone, satellite/cable television and self-controlled heating.

Hotel facilities include a 3,500-square-metre fitness centre complete with swimming pool, roof terrace, spa and personal training service. The hotel also offers a variety of meeting rooms and event spaces ideal for any business or entertainment occasion. The nine rooms range in size from 36 to 350 square metres, and each is outfitted with the latest technical and audiovisual equipment. Up to 1,500 people can be accommodated in these spaces, and all events can be catered by any one of the two on-site kitchens. The main Hotel Restaurant offers fine dining from morning to night, serving traditional German and Austrian cuisine in a graceful ambience. For dinner, the Spanish Restaurant features an interesting hybrid menu of traditional Spanish tapas and Mediterranean snack dishes. Once the sun sets, things heat up at the lounge bar and the on-site clubs, where guests and locals gather for drinks, music and more. The Night Club, spread over two levels in the renovated brewery basement, features a varying line-up of local and international DJs spinning beats until dawn. Here, as across the entire premises, the Factory Hotel brings together seemingly contradictory elements into a unified whole: club meets landmark-protected building, industrial elements meet cosy comfort, urban life meets calm retreat – at the Factory Hotel, diverse elements are fused together to provide guests and visitors with a truly unique hotel experience.
